HI, Hello, HELLO!

My name is Lyndsey, the leading lady behind the lens and owner of LLPHOTO+CO or Lyndsey Leach Photography. Denver, CO is my home and you can find me here about half of the time and the other half you can find me having fun in the mountains, adventuring in new places, or working in unique destinations.

I have been attached to a camera since I was young, always trying to sneak another roll of film (or 5!) into the shopping cart. When digital cameras came out, my parents bought one and I became instantly obsessed (my selfie game was on point as a tweener). After I graduated college, a friend and I decided to go backpacking through southeast Asia. Before leaving, my parents gifted me my first DSLR camera (Canon Rebel). On that trip, that camera did not leave my hand. It wasn’t long after that that I decided photography isn’t just a passion, but a career too.

As a Colorado kid, I love the mountains and I pay homage to my home state in naming my session packages after some of our 14ers. It was once a hope to climb all 54 of them but my knees disagreed with that and I think I am ok with that. 

I am extremely passionate about protecting our environment and I try to own and operate my business with that in mind. I have partnered with 3 different printing companies, all of which bring something different to the table. One uses sustainably sourced materials (often local), the others use recycled materials and vegetable based dyes. I try to use as little packaging as possible and am transitioning into an almost paperless business (prints and albums aside). If a session requires traveling, you can guarantee I will ask you about carpooling. If you nerd out to this stuff like I do, we will have plenty to chat about. Let’s save the world together!  

I think I am really funny… other’s disagree. I have memorized a bunch of dad jokes and you are pretty much guaranteed to hear one within about 10 minutes of meeting me. I have much more than “dad” jokes and a pretty foul mouth (according to my mom) so as we get to know each other a bit and if the setting is right, then you best believe that you’ll be hearing more than fart jokes from me. 

I am not particularly hip or cool… though I think those terms are pretty outdated, hence the not hip or cool thing. I recently had to Google what “Mood” meant for slang since I have been hearing it a lot. I am very much so a millennial, not the geriatric kind, but pretty close (my husband is one of those geriatric millennials though so he rubs off on me). If you choose to email me with the new aged slang, just know I am probably spending more time googling and urban dictionary-ing these things and it will take longer for me to email you back. Word.
