HI, Hello, HELLO!
My name is Lyndsey, the leading lady behind the lens and owner of LLPHOTO+CO. Denver, CO is my home and you can find me here about half of the time and the other half you can find me having fun in the mountains, adventuring in new places, or working in unique destinations.
I have been attached to a camera since I was young, always trying to sneak another roll of film (or 5!) into the shopping cart. When digital cameras came out, my parents bought one and I became instantly obsessed (my selfie game was on point as a tweener). After I graduated college, a friend and I decided to go backpacking through southeast Asia. Before leaving, my parents gifted me my first DSLR camera. On that trip, that camera did not leave my hand. It wasn’t long after that that I decided photography isn’t just a passion, but a career too.
As a Colorado kid, I love the mountains and I pay homage to my home state in naming my session packages after some of our 14ers. It was once a hope to climb all 54 of them but my knees disagreed with that and I think I am ok with that.
I am extremely passionate about protecting our environment and I try to own and operate my business with that in mind. I have partnered with 3 different printing companies, all of which bring something different to the table. One uses sustainably sourced materials (often local), the others use recycled materials and vegetable based dyes. I try to use as little packaging as possible and am transitioning into an almost paperless business (prints and albums aside). If a session requires traveling, you can guarantee I will ask you about carpooling. If you nerd out to this stuff like I do, we will have plenty to chat about. Let’s save the world together!
I think I am really funny… other’s disagree. I have memorized a bunch of dad jokes and you are pretty much guaranteed to hear one within about 10 minutes of meeting me. I have much more than “dad” jokes and a pretty foul mouth (according to my mom) so as we get to know each other a bit and if the setting is right, then you best believe that you’ll be hearing more than fart jokes from me.
I am not particularly hip or cool… though I think those terms are pretty outdated, hence the not hip or cool thing. I recently had to Google what “Mood” meant for slang since I have been hearing it a lot. I am very much so a millennial, not the geriatric kind, but pretty close (my husband is one of those geriatric millennials though so he rubs off on me). If you choose to email me with the new aged slang, just know I am probably spending more time googling and urban dictionary-ing these things and it will take longer for me to email you back. Word.
I LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU!
CLIFF NOTES VERSION:
2. My name is Lyndsey, owner of LLPHOTO+CO (aka Lyndsey Leach Photography)
3. I currently live in Denver. I am here about 50% of the time.
4. I became obsessed with cameras because I was obsessed with selfies… yup… very vain kid.
*Cliff notes special: when I wasn’t taking selfies, I could be found outside collecting iron off the ground with my magnet collection. I put the iron inside my empty film canisters and tried to sell the iron to my neighbors. I made enough to buy myself the Power Rangers VHS. #entreprenuership
5. Climbing mountains used to be fun, but then I f*cked up my knees… coincidently from playing on the mountains
6. I love the earth. You should too.
7. I am a funny, not so funny millennial that doesn’t keep up to date on trends.

I believe in starting small, I believe in minimizing waste in a wasteful industry starting with the photography. Maybe you can’t have an entirely eco friendly wedding, but we can make a small difference together. I believe in using local suppliers, sustainable inks, and recycled materials. I know that when we are connected to the earth, we can better connect to each other.
MEET THE TEAM BEHIND LLPHOTO + CO
I know this is not the norm (but let’s be real, I don’t really fit under “the norm” category) to post a bunch of things about the people that you work with as a small business owner, but these women do a lot of great things for me and with me so I think it’s important to recognize that and celebrate them. As you noticed, I now go by both names LLPHOTO+CO and Lyndsey Leach Photography. If re-branding wasn’t such an expensive pain in the ass then I would probably be LLPHOTO+CO through and through… If I could back to 2017 when I officially created the Lyndsey Leach Photography LLC, I would have hit myself on the head with a small stick and told myself to re-think the name…. yet here we are. The point I am making is that this business is not just me and I rely on others to help me succeed. I am part of a team and I think the name should reflect that.
