Thanks for checking out my blog! My name is Lyndsey and I am the owner of Lyndsey Leach Photography!
I know my site has a little “about me” blurb but I figured that I could make a blog post that is a little more comprehensive.
I am a Colorado kid through and through! Out of my 31 years on this earth, I have lived here for all but 3 of them! I seem to keep finding my way back to Denver and at this point, I think I am here to stay. The traffic drives me crazy but even so, I still haven’t found another place yet that I could call home.
My partner, Raymond, and I got married in 2019, so we are still newlyweds, I guess. We live on the west side of Denver and will hopefully “settle down” in this neck of the woods. It is just the two of us, for now. We are animal lovers so I have a feeling that we will get a fur baby sometime sooner than later – I say dog, he says cat, so let’s be honest… we will definitely get a dog 😉
Having the mountains as a permanent playground has really spoiled me with the types of recreational activities that I love to participate in! My “sport” is always going to be skiing and snowboarding. I really take advantage of winter travel as most of my winter weekends (if I am not shooting a wedding), are filled with trips to different mountains – all over CO, surrounding states, and recently to other countries. When snow sports aren’t available, the chances are good that you can still find me in the mountains – either biking, hiking, rafting, etc.
Outside of being a local adventurer, I travel fairly extensively! I crave travel, just as much (if not more) than I crave cheese – you’ll learn quickly if you don’t know me already. I love to learn about other cultures, countries, states, eat all of their food, pet all of the animals, and to have new and different experiences. The “celebrity” that I have always admired more than anyone else has always been Anthony Bourdain. If I could find some way to take over his role, I wouldn’t think twice about ditching my cameras, in exchange to eat crazy foods and travel all over the world.
I could go on for days about things that I love to do, experience, etc. but that would be boring for you to read so here are a few other things that make my heart tick: my family and friends, basically all cheese other than bleu cheese (gross), Harry Potter, REI, plants, board and card games (let’s play!), Costco, biking, DC Comics and Marvel, Lip Balm (you won’t get it if you don’t live in a dry climate), cooking and food culture, seeing live music, and saving the environment.
If you want to know more, let’s get together and chat! I am always down to meet on the slopes, for coffee, at a brewery, or a park with your pup!
Thanks for reading! I am looking forward to learning about you!
Cheers,
LL
